Civil engineering aims at the improvement of modern civilization. It includes
planning design, construction and maintenance of public facilities which are
vital to our social life.
Today every state of our country is giving more stress on infrastructural projects such as express highways, railways over bridges, flyovers etc. this has resulted in ever increasing demand of civil engineers.
Department undertakes consultancy work in various fields of
Civil engineering viz. Building construction, structural design, Roads, Survey
works for irrigation & water supply schemes. The material testing and mix
design facilities are used by almost all government and private agencies.
Active participation of students is always invited in such works.
Department has completed planning, designing of a BOT project, “ Construction of
a Bye pass to Karmala town on SH 141 and a bridge on Mangi Nala. The project is
successfully completed
As one of the fastest developing fields, industrial Electronics is much in demand. With repaid evolution in industry this trend will not slow in near future.
Keeping pace with changing technology the department always tries to update its laboratories with latest equipments. The staff also regularly undergoes continuing education programs to keep themselves up-to-date with recent technologies.
Department has recently completed
projects on E-learning, Virtual class room and virtual laboratories. Technical
paper on these topics are graeatly accepted at international conferences in UK,
Spain etc.
In order to keep pace with recent advancement in telecommunication technologies, department has initiated final year projects on the subject.
COMPUTER & INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
To cope up with the need of the upcoming trends and technologies in the IT industry, our institute has excelled to provide computer education to students in every field of Engineering. The department labs are equipped with the latest computers and software’s that are updated from time to time. The department has a CD library through which the latest software’s. are made available to the students.
The internet facility is provided through a high speed leased line. The department provides round the clock internet access. The audio visual labs have no-line teaching facility with the help of LCD projectors. This enhance understanding of the courses. The department also conducts audit courses on latest software’s for the students.
Mechanical engineering strives to utilize economically the materials and forces of nature for the production of serviceable goods.
The educational philosophy of the department is to combine practical and theoretical approach in the basic studies of mechanical engineering.
Since mechanical engineers function in divers fields, the department endorses and participates in a wide range of projects.
Institute organizes training facility to the final year students at Indo-German Tool Room (IGTR), Indore covering handson training on CNC’s MQC, PLC’s Pneumatic & Hydraulic circuits etc.
